Is a school thing that all 8'th grade teams do. It is a mix of trivia (brains) and competition (brawn). I'm sure you have heard of me mentioning it before? If not, now you know!
Ok, so since the awards ceremony was the other day, the teachers on my team decided we could vote for people. (I forgot what for, though) They would announce it at the next B&B meeting.
Today was that meeting. After doing activities, the teachers had us sit down and then said, "Alright, we have your votes so now we are going to announce your choosen students!"
One by one, kids are going up there. Then I hear , "She's got it going on! Aislinn !" My face went from a smile to a blank. My friend J, who was sitting next to me, burst out into laughter. I then got up and joined the other kids. In the end, there was 10 of us. And out of an 80+ team, we were the ones voted for. Part of me thinks it is a popularity vote, but the other part of me wonders how many voted for me. I wonder...
Talk about embarrasing! Going up there, in front of the whole team and then taking a group photo!?! I dont even know what I was called for! Oh well, I will gladly take it, because at least I know some people voted for me(:

Life Is Sweet
Where I last left off, I told you the grand news of my family moving- to Colorado!
Now, for some, moving may be the greatest thing to ever happen to them! But, for others, it could be an invitation to death! (Now, now. Don't be so drastic!) However, for me, moving is an exciting journey. I love meeting new people--especially foreign ones!-- and, when you think about it, moving is like starting over. A fresh new start.
Report cards recently came out. And, I got all A's and 3 B's, which is not the usual. I got the B's in: Math, Science, and Drama. Drama, because I didn't (supposedly) turn in a test. The teacher gave me a zero, which brought my grade down by 17 points. The other one, science, I question because I did 3 extra credit projects on top of the 3 projects I was supposed to do, and it didn't change my grade by much! (If at all!) Math I can explain. However, if I went into full detail of why and how, it would take to long. So for now, I will need to apply myself more. When my parents saw my grades, they were happy, but since I usually get all A's and 1 B, I really cant talk about C.O anymore... :S Until I raise my grades, that is. :)

Well, Ain't That a Birthday Surprise?
Friday, the 6'th, was a good day, especially when we all had to sit at the table around 9 o'clock. It went like this:
As the 4 of us watched the Wizard of Waverly Place Series Finalle, my Dad came out of his room and went up to my sister, Maeve. My Mom was at the computer.
''Maeve,'' he said. ''Go sit at the kitchen table please.'' I looked at her. She was watching tv.
"Maeve, how about we all go sit at the table?" I asked, trying to get her to listen. As we walked to the table, Aidan and Declan were right behind us. Also going to sit down. When Mom came into the kitchen, I thought I heard her say 'desert'. Since it was my Dad's birthday on Thursday, I thought she had made him a cake or something. Then she sat down, and finally, so did Dad. This was unexpected, considering Dad had only asked Maeve to go sit down. Mom and Dad looked at each other.
Mom then said, ''Do you want to tell them?" Dad replied, ''No, do you?" Aidan, who was looking around said, ''Your not having another baby, are you?" Mom burst out laughing, but Aidan was serious. ''No.'' said Dad. Getting tired, I said ,''Well?"
Mom smiled and said, ''Were moving."
Now Aidan, who is no fan of change, got up and began to walk to his room. "Woah," began Mom. "Sit back down, for all you know we could be moving up the street!" Hearing this, he turned around and sat down.
"So Mom," I said. "Where are we moving then?" She smiled and looked at Dad. "Colorado."
Aidan now got up and began to walk back to his room. "Where are you going? You need to come back here!" Said Mom, but he didn't listen. He turned around to us and said, ''I dont want to move to Colorado!!" His face now deep red and eyes beginging to fill, he turned, and stormed right into his room.
After Declan saw what happened, he began to cry. I honestly dont know why, but he was crying. Maeve was also crying! She said she didn't want to leave her friend, J. But, J is mean to her. And when Mom said that too her, she then said that she didn't want to leave B. I on the other hand was practicly hyperventilating in my seat. I even squeled. I mean, it is Colorado! We have never been west of Mississippi so this will be definatly fun! I am soo excited for many reasons, but probably just because we will be moving! I love to move, and a move like this will be so much fun!
On top of all this, Mom and I went car shopping on Saturday! After I left my friend J's house, we went to at least 5 dealerships and looked for cars. It was fun smelling that new-car smell, but we never drove any. That's ok, though, because I had fun just looking at them!

Post 148 (But who's counting..)
Today was definatly a relaxed, laid-back day.
It started at 10. 51. At this time I was definatly awake, since I had just finished sleeping for a total of 12 hours. Straight. Outside the light shone, shining through the blinds on my window and casting a yellow glow on the wall.
Around 11:30 (ish) I went out to the living room where my Mom and Dad sat. All of my siblings (well, not Maeve) were outside. I sat down and asked if we were going anywhere today. Nope. Today, they said, would be a stay-at-home day, since we had a lot of work to do around the house. As fun as that sounds, it was not very fun. I like to go to stores, and today I wanted to go to the mall. Unfortunately, that would have to wait for another day.
After watching episodes of Shake it Up, Extreme Couponing: All Stars, and a number of other shows, I finally got up for breakfast. (Keep in mind this was around 12)
At 2 I got lunch. And for the rest of the day, sat around watching TV and helping around the house. As boring as this post was, this was really how most of my day went.
This week, school starts. I am kinda looking forward to it, but then again, I will miss vacation. Speaking of which, where did my vacation go!? Jeez. I am also hoping that my fortune cookie from yesterday will be true because if it is:
You could prosper in the field of entertainment
Especially since drama is not-so-good right now, it would be a blessing to actually get a role in a play, or at least be up front! Hopefully I will stand out and prosper in this class. (:

On Saturday I went hiking! It was the first time I have been hiking, and my Dad to me and my brothers. It was so beautiful, and my new boots were really comfortable! We treked for 3 miles and then had a picnick with a gorgeous view of the canyon. It was a great way to end 2011...
My goal for 2012:
On New Years Eve I spent the night at my friend K's house. I did last year, too. She thought it would be cool to make it a tradition! I had no idea she would have family over (I hate when I go to my friends' house and they have family there.) But she didn't talk to her family much so that was ok. We went walking a lot and watched so many fire-crackers! We even stayed up until 6:30! (For me.) She said that she stayed up all night but she didn't. How do I know? When I woke up, I was going to ask her something and when I said her name, I heard her snoring. At 12:30 my Mom picked me up. The fun didn't stop there because we went shopping and even out to lunch! (Mom, Aidan, and I)
Today was a good start to 2012, and I hope this year brings lots of joy and happiness to you, and me.
