I am sure I have mentioned it before, Pope's Haunted Farm? Yeah, ok. So I finally went!! Yesterday my friend Stephanie and I were going to go to Pope's. But, before that her mom was going to pick me up early and we were going to go to her dad's military party. (Since it was close to Pope's) The party was cool. We played basketball and chilled. Then, we went to go pick up Stephanies friend Amelia. Amelia and I are friends too, since we had class together last year. So we pick Amelia up and head over to Pope's. Pope's was SO cool! We decided to do the hay-ride and it was scary but cool! I had a great time, even though I screamed often and covered my eye's while burrowing my head into Stephanie's shoulder. We had a great time, and even got tee-shirts! Tomorrow we are wearing them!
So, tomorrow is Halloween. I might not post but I will tell you why:
So, tomorrow Stephanie's mom asked if I was trick-or-treating. I said 'No.' She asked what I would be doing and I told her I would be sitting at home. Then, she invited me to come trick-or-treating with them! She talked to my mom and tomorrow I will be going and trick-or-treating with them! It should be fun, and cold! My costume is going to be what I was last year-- A Flapper Girl!
Alright, short post, I know. But I have to go to bed !

Yeah, Yeah, Shakespeare, move over!
Let me start out with homeroom. (Because today was actually fun!) In homeroom, we have a school-wide contest. If you donate $1.00 then you get a paper pumpkin. The class with the most gets a free catered breakfast (by the principal) and that days' lesson taught by her. All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society. Anyway, earlier this morning my teacher donated $75.00 for the pumpkins! This put us in 2'nd place. But according to this afternoon, we were pushed down to 3'rd. Supposedly, tomorrow quite a few people will be bringing in donations to bring us up to first. Whoop-dee-doo.
~~~~~~
Drama was bor-ing. My teacher wasn't here, so we read over our scripts for our class-play. This one is called:
Macbeth: A Children's Cautionary Tale
After reading over the script, it is safe to say I dislike this play. I mean, it is so child-ish!! We have to interact with the audience! One of the things we have to say (if you are a narrator, of course) is:
Narrators: ''Now, what letter is at the end of witches?"
Audience: "Es."
Narrators: "That's right, very good! Your teacher's would be proud!"
Other then that, not much happened. Oh, but something happened on the bus!
So, in the morning Olivia sits behind me in the seat with Panache. Panache was texting and I was sitting next to the window.
"Hey, Aislinn." Said Olivia
Now I, assuming this was not her, began to look around the bus.
"Hey, Aislinn." She repeated.
Now I am still confused because Olivia would never talk to me, so this couldn't be her! Right?
"Hey, Aislinn." She repeated.
Now I am still confused because Olivia would never talk to me, so this couldn't be her! Right?
"Hey, Aislinn!" She says.
Now I look at her.
"What?" I ask.
"What should I ask for for my birthday?" She asks.
"Um. Well, what do you like?" I say, still confused that she would be talking to me. I wondered if I should tell her about my fundraising, but held it in.
"I don't know, that's the problem!" She said, smiling.
"Oh. Hmm." I say, and leave it at that.
After her short convo with me, she began to tell me about what she will ask for, which was a pair of Hollister jeans.
''I will only ask for one pair, because there usually 30-45 dollar jeans!"
Then she began to tell me about her birthday dinner. I don't have an invite. But that's OK. I mean, I wouldn't go even if I got one.
That was about it!
What Doesnt Kill You...
Make's you stronger. Blah blah blah. That's what I was told. Or heard. And today...It was applied.
Drama is by far, my favorite class. I wish it was longer...sometimes. Other times...not so much. But isnt every class like that?
Today drama was...a 'not so much' day. The rest of the class performed their musical's, and whoever wanted to re-do their song, could go. Some people shouted, ''Coffee...Coffee...!' But, it wasnt our call, it was Bailey's. ''Sure." She said. This was the start of my ''not so much'' class period.
Some people think it is easy to act. And it can be. *Note: Can be. But, when the teacher is saying, ''Get in character, in character!" It isnt easy. I mean, we are in a single line. Bailey told us to look for coffee. Yet, everybody is doing the same thing, so how do we have character? So, the song ends and we are all thinking (and saying) the same thing: "We stink." We begin to sit, but the teacher told us to stay up front.
"You guys need to have character. You dont have character, it is all boring. Kati," She looks at Kati. By now, we have re-formed our Coffee line. "You need to have character, when you get up front, all eyes will be on you and you cant be boring. You had a boring face during the fall." Kati nods. She continues, ''Aislinn, I didnt see and expression on your face the whole song!" She is looking at me and I, right back. I got nervous, being called out like that, but was saved by Sara, ''I did." She said. I was going to nod my thanks, but out of fear for my teacher, I held my head still. "Go. Again. Because I know you guys dont want the grades I could give you." So, we went again. And this time, I owned it.
Remember me mentioning how we would be (possibly) performing in front of judges? Today my teacher picked those performing. And the Coffee song got picked!! I am happy, but this means practice, practice, practice. Urgg.
Lastly, in Drama we got fundraising packets, so now I have to fundraise. Oh joy.
It Can Only Get Better...
The celebration is over. As sad as it is, I will explain...
~~~~~~
So, according to this ''Model & Acting Company" they are interested in working with me. That is great and all, especially since I auditioned and got it, but before I go jump in the pool, I need to know more about it. So, my parents told me that before I sign any contract, to look it up. Get reviews, the Buisness Bureau Report, and so on. So, I did my research. It looked OK. (Could have done better) And then came my parents turn. My parents are more researchy, and found more then I did. They found that in the past 12 months, 9-12 complaints have been filed, and quite a few more reviews then me. And since they have yet to call back, the chances are "slim" that I will be working with, or even for, them. When we came back at 7 on Sunday, the co-owner or some model in charge said,
'If we really want to work with you, we will hunt you down.'
And my parents are really holding on to that, because since she hasnt been calling back, or even trying to get in touch, the chances are slim.
Yeah, I know it is a crazy dream. I just think that at a chance like this that I should jump right in, you know? But, I did some more research and found some more model company's. This one has a much better rating, and even has an office by us! Hopefully this one is not a scam, because it is sad enough that I cant be a model now. I just hate waiting. Maybe I will get it right this time.
Oh, and if you are reading. The model company who scams. Thanks. A lot. I am glad I didnt pay you, because I dont want scum taking my money. And bringing my hopes up. And making me cry no, ball. Thanks, and continue what you do. But I hope it bites you in the butt. :) Have a nice day!
:) Alright, so onto school.
Drama was really the only part of my day that was good. In drama I had to present my song in front of my teacher. It was a good thing it was a group song, because I would have been terrible alone! So, after we presented, guess what Madison said??
''Well...That was better then I expected."
In reply: "Thanks, Madison!" Said a few people. They meant it.
To top it off, my teacher said that she doesnt want to be in the position to pick and choose who goes to the Junior Thesbian Conference, so she will have judges come in to decide. From there, we will perform our skits in front of them, and then the best 5 acting and 5 musicals will go to compete. Oh joy. (: To add to the excitement, some of us (I already can list because it will most likely be her favorites) will perform in front of the school! Yay! Not.
Gotta go, watching X-Factor!

BIG BREAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am sooooo happy. I found out. And I screamed. Literally, on the bus I screamed. I was so happy, I found out that I was one of the lucky 14 people choosen to be part of this agency!! My mom told me that before we go signing anything, to first look around. Check reviews, do our homework. She said that we need to make sure this isnt a scam. My dad said that we should do enough work that we feel comfortable doing this. And I really want this. I really do. And I hope that reviews are good, and this isnt a scam. Because that would hurt. But, if it is true, I hope my parents sign me up. I really do.
So now, I am doing my part of the research and looking around. So far so good. I hope that all goes well and I can go meet the people, that would be fun! But for now, I must wait. Although, I hope it doesnt take too long!

Work That Runway!
AHHHHHHH!!!!! Today was, like, the coolest/one of the BEST days of my life! Explination puh-lease..
Today stated out normal. For a Sunday, anyway. And ended up ah-mazing. Today I woke up at 8:30(ish) and went over to watch tv. When my mom and siblings got home from Sunday School, my mom told me,
'Today, later on, me and you are going to be going out.'
I was really excited because m mom and I havent gone for a day out in a while. Before we left, my mom told me to brush my hair. Afterwords, at 3:15, we head out.
On our way to where we were going, my mom said she had to stop at Wal-Mart. We did and took off again. Then, my mom said that we needed to go to this hotel. Ok, that was fine to me. She told me after we were done we would go to the mall. "Yay!" I said. As we get out, my mom walks into the hotel. I figured we had to meet someone. Nope. We walk over to the front desk. Nobody was there. My mom turns away and starts looking around.
"Um, ma'am?" Asks the lady at the desk.
"Oh, hello! Is this where the auditions are being held?"
"Yes ma'am! Right down that hall."
When my mom said 'Auditions', a smile grew across my face.
"Is this for modeling?" I asked, (I want to model.)
"Yes." She smiled.
As we walked down the hall, we entered a banquet room. We were told to fill out a paper and take a seat. There was about 30-45 people there. As the room started to file out quickly, I patiently waited my turn. I was so nervous! I heard the lady asking questions like, 'What's your name?' And stuff like that. Then, I was called. I walked up and smiled. It was a good thing my mom was next to me, I was like JELLY! The woman (with red hair) asked a few questions, then had me in front of a camera. Before I had to get in front of camera, the woman told me I was called back! She said to be back at 7:00. Then ushered me to the camera. That woman (with black hair), someone different, asked some questions, too! I was very nervous, but I answered clearly, honestly, and sincerely. Then we left. I was all smiles and called my Dad.
'Hello?' he asked.
"Hey, Dad, guess what?"
"What?"
"I GOT A CALL BACK!!!!!!" I was so happy, I even started to cry. When I hung up, I was balling. We then rushed home to get a photo of me, then rush back to be there in time for 7.
Walking in, we took a seat. The woman, the same one as earlier, told us that we were lucky, because out of 135 people, only the 60 of us were called back! Then another woman, who was a model herself, came in and told us about the agency. She told us that we needed to call at a certain time tomorrow and she would tell us who made it and who didnt. I am SUPER nervous, and I hope I make it! So, tomorrow I will tell you more! Until then,

I want to go to Popes!
Popes Haunted Farm is...well, a haunted farm! I am not a fan of scary things, and will scream! Everybody goes to this farm every year, and I think it is time I gave it a try! Unfortnatly, I dont know if I will go. You see, my friend Stephanie is going to be asking her mom if Amelia (my friend from last year who is also friends with Stephanie) and I can go to Popes. All three of us have never been there, so it would be creepy for all of us!
Homeroom was all right. My teacher left to go to a Social Studies group or something so she wont be here tomorrow, and wasnt here today. So we had a sub, who lets a text. And daydream in class. And reads. I dont mind that stuff, but I wish the school wasnt so cheap. And would pick other subs, like my mom. :)
Drama was much better! My teacher told us that Bailey and Emily (the 2 girls in charge of our song) that instead of punishing the cast in our I.E. to instead, tell her. And, the song is finally O V E R!!! We are DONE with choreography and now we just need to vocalize and harmonize! Ahhh it feels SO GOOD to be done with the struggles of trying to listen and dancing confused. :)
Health was ack. Boring. As usual. So was the rest of the periods.
Sigh. I am so bored. But today I am glad I finally spoke to my best friend, Jennifer :)

Oh. My. Gosh.
Tonight, was the Pretty Little Liars Halloween Special! And thanks to my new tv in my room (Ahh!) I can watch it without the family! Before I go raving about that, let me sum-up my day.
Homeroom was blech. Boring, as usual. But, Stephanie came into my homeroom this morning and said, 'Catch!' And threw me something wrapped in green. 'Aw, thanks!' I said, because I knew it was my late- birthday present. It was an Angry Bird. Jessie, seeing this, said 'Happy Birthday.' to me. I said thank you. She told me after cleaning her room, she found my present. Then she said she would bring it tomorrow. 'Oh,' I said to Jessie, 'You do realize my birthday was October 4.' 'I know, it was such a long time ago!'
Pretty Little Liars is one of my favortie shows. (It is tied with Glee) Tonight was the Halloween Special. I was freaked. The whole time was kinda creepy. The scariest movie I have ever seen was Jurrasic Park (the one with the airplane and the man is on the run-way and the plane collides with the dino) I cried. I once saw a PG horror movie. (Heard of Poltergiest?) I screamed about 5 times. So, I am not one with horror, I love comedy, but not a fan of the creepy. This episode was major creep. But, I cant wait for the Janurary premier. I just need some popcorn and a tee that says PLL on it and I will be good.

Drama was OK. Since the drama teacher is doing a play (Running Upstream) she decided we would se our drama time to help set up the play. So basicly, we got out of class to pull tables and chairs off stage, and put props on stage. I found out that my drama class will have a class play. This is what she said:Teach: 'Auditions for the play will come up soon.'
Class: 'What play?'
Teach: 'Well, we have a class play we will be doing.'
Class: 'What is the play?'
Teach: 'Origionally we were doing Athelo and the Chase for the One Eyed Monstor (Something like that, I forget the title.) But, Athelo is played by a male African American and our only male African American got sent away. So, since my 7'th grade drama has more, we will swap class plays. Now, you guys will be doing Macbeth: A Cautionary Tale. '
Class: 'Yay!'
I find it cool we will be doing Shakesphere. But, knowing that even though we have to audition (yes, everybody gets a part) I know favoritism will rule. Seth or Aaron will get the guy-lead and someone like Madison will get the girl-lead. But, it cant hurt to try.
~~~~~~
After that, the rest of the school day was plain boring. Except for 2 things:
- At lockers, Jacqueline decided to see me. As in: 'Sorry I couldnt go to the race. I fell on my ankle and hurt it. It, like, hurts really bad.' This resulted in me saying, 'Oh, ok.'
- At lockers I told Brittany, 'Hey Brittany, I have a bird in my locker.' Her: 'No you dont!' Me: Yes, I do!' Her: 'Quit lying.' Then Cody, uninvited (his locker is above Brittany's) pulled out his gym bag. (Complete with clothes, I dont know.) Then he started beating her with it! Saying: 'Brittany, dont lie! I will hurt you until you tell the truth!' (Or something like that) The whole time she says, 'Ouch, Cody! Ouch!'
Sunday's Event...
Remember how I said Jacqueline was going to be racing? And how she said she would be doing the North Face Race? Yeah. I guess some people you cant count on.
When I was younger, every Jacqueline, Jacalyn, or Jaqueline I met was mean. So I told myself one thing : Never trust a Jaqueline. And the rule was always applied, because it was always right. However, the name has become extremely popular, and so last year I made a friend. Her name was Jacalyn. She is really nice, so I started believing that not every Jacalyn is mean. This year I met another Jacqueline. She seemed nice. So, once again the rule was broken. However, I am starting to re-think my rule. You see, every time something cool comes up (North Face Run) Jacqueline and I can do, she somehow finds a way to not do it. And just because she bails, doesnt mean I have to! I mean, why is it she somehow finds a way to just...bail? What kind of friend, especially one with the name Jacqueline, tells you the day before the race that she will race, and then goes to bail the day of race?! This gets me mad, I mean, so what that her ankle is cut? I mean, a paper cut is probably deeper then those cuts. And bruises? She could have walked! Maybe I am the only one of my friends with common sense..
Anyway, the race was a blast!! I had so much fun, and lucky for me I convinced my friend Stephanie to do the race with me! This race was my first trail race, and it took me a little longer to finish. However my time was 44:34. But, since they talked for 2 minutes after the buzzer rang, my time is around 41-42. Overall the race was a BLAST! I got so many cool things, here are some photos!
So, yeah those were some photos from the race. My mom has some of the race, too :) Post more soon!
Today has definatly been a l.a.z.y day. Not a lot of action, but more then some weekends. Today I went to Wal-Mart, the library, and home. I got my Seventeen magazine and all I can say is; those things cant come fast enough! :) Tomorrow is a S. U. P. E. R. lazy day. I mean n o t h i n g will be happening! Better stay in my pj's.
Well, thats my life so far. Ah, yes. Report Cards (knew I was missing something!) I got my report card on Friday and I did good. All A's !! Whoop! I am happy, because this will help me in High School.
However, the name has become extremely popular, and so last year I made a friend. Her name was Jacalyn. She is really nice, so I started believing that not every Jacalyn is mean. This year I met another Jacqueline. She seemed nice. So, once again the rule was broken. However, I am starting to re-think my rule. You see, every time something cool comes up (North Face Run) Jacqueline and I can do, she somehow finds a way to not do it. And just because she bails, doesnt mean I have to! I mean, why is it she somehow finds a way to just...bail? What kind of friend, especially one with the name Jacqueline, tells you the day before the race that she will race, and then goes to bail the day of race?! This gets me mad, I mean, so what that her ankle is cut? I mean, a paper cut is probably deeper then those cuts. And bruises? She could have walked! Maybe I am the only one of my friends with common sense..
Anyway, the race was a blast!! I had so much fun, and lucky for me I convinced my friend Stephanie to do the race with me! This race was my first trail race, and it took me a little longer to finish. However my time was 44:34. But, since they talked for 2 minutes after the buzzer rang, my time is around 41-42. Overall the race was a BLAST! I got so many cool things, here are some photos!
Today has definatly been a l.a.z.y day. Not a lot of action, but more then some weekends. Today I went to Wal-Mart, the library, and home. I got my Seventeen magazine and all I can say is; those things cant come fast enough! :) Tomorrow is a S. U. P. E. R. lazy day. I mean n o t h i n g will be happening! Better stay in my pj's.
Well, thats my life so far. Ah, yes. Report Cards (knew I was missing something!) I got my report card on Friday and I did good. All A's !! Whoop! I am happy, because this will help me in High School.
Super Bass...
After the incident with Jacqueline on the trail yesterday, I found out how bad her ankle was..
At school, in the morning, my friend Jacqueline took off her boot and showed me her ankle, which was not as...bloody...as yesterday. She told me her mom took her to the doctor right after practice and how they put some liquids on it to clear it out. Today it was just minor cuts. And maybe a few bruises. She explained how the doctor said she shouldn't do the run on Sunday. This resulted in me giving her the :0 face. At lunch, the Coach for Fit Club (she is SUPER cool) came up and asked how she was doing. She replied 'fine.' and told her how she might not make it to Sunday. Then Coach, who has to turn the North Face papers in tomorrow, asked if she was certain. Because if she was, then she couldn't change her mind. Jacqueline told her to not turn in the paper. But! Just a second ago she texted me and said she would be going!! I am soo happy, because now I wont be alone! (I was with Aidan somewhat last week, until he caught up with one of his friends.) Not only that, but my other friend Stephanie is going as well! I had been telling her, and she thought it sounded pretty cool! So, I gave her the paper to fill out and she told me she would be going, too! I can already tell, this one is going to be fun! I will have a blast! I cant wait. Unfortunatly, my other friend Caitlin wont be going, since it is to late for her to sign up. At least she lives down the street and we can hang out!
Oh yeah, that reminds me. Today from like 6:30- 7:45 I hung out with Caitlin. We just walked around, until she had to go in. And then I walked home. Alone. And kinda creeped out by the fog and how dark it was getting. And the distant noise of a 4-wheeler... Oh, the joy of living in a neighborhood. Tomorrow, we are gonna meet up again and go walking again. It is a lot of fun!
I hate math. Well...not hate it... I just dislike it. With a passion. So, have you ever divided radicals? Multiplied them? Added them? No? :0 Well, thats what we are learning, and the division one is TOUGH. And, guess what comes around when stuff gets tough? TESTS. And on top of that, tomorrow I get my report card! JOY!
Other then that, not much happend. I say that a lot, dont I? But, hey, you can always add to the day and click the FOLLOW button ;)
College...Race...Oh my!
Soo many things happened today! First was college..
Now, I took a field trip to Technical. Technical--I will be honest-- is a college I would not want to go to. To me, it came off as a ''lower class'' college (meaning- it appeared old and...well...poor.) I wasn't interested in the stuff they talked about, but the medical stuff seemed like fun. We really only saw medical, welding, carpentry/cabinet, and cosmetology. I didn't even see where the dorms were! I told my mom this and she said this was the type of college you go to if you live here! When I go to college I want a dorm. And a good area. Neither of these were really here. Sigh. At least I can cross this off my list!
Since I am on a short-time frame here, let me skip ahead to Fit Club practice! Today, finally, my friend Jacqueline decided to go to Fit club. But, so did Olivia, and she brought friends! (Yay!! NOT.) I was told that Fit Club, while it isn't mandatory, would be doing the HS Homecoming Parade. I don't really want to do this, but to be honest I don't know what this even is.. Anyway, today we had 3 miles to run/walk. So, instead of taking our usual trail, we took a new trail. Plus the original trail. Well, while going to the original trail (let me just say it is very rocky) I stepped down to some rocks which were very steep (going down the trail) and I heard Jacqueline say, 'Oh!' And when I looked over, Jacqueline had fallen and wouldn't move. This was how it went,
Other then those 2 events, nothing really happened! :)
And when I looked over, Jacqueline had fallen and wouldn't move. This was how it went,
Me: 'Omigod, are you alright?'
Her: 'My ankle...'
Me: 'Can you move it?'
Her: 'No, it hurts.'
So, I help her up and while she is looking at it, she wanted me to answer her phone.Me: 'Hello?'
J's Mom: '...Is Jacqueline there?'
Me: 'Jacqueline fell and she hurt her ankle really bad..'
J's mom: 'Where are you guys?'
Me: 'Um.. Somewhere in a trail..'
J's mom: 'Where is a teacher?'
Me: 'There aren't any around, they all are gone..'
J's mom: 'Can I speak to Jacqueline?'
After Jacqueline was done talking, I helped her back up so that we could take the road, it would be straight and less rocky. Up at the top, a teacher comes out with another cripple and his 2 friends. Looking at Jacqueline, she asks the people at the water station (they were giving us water..Volunteering.) if they could take the car back. They agreed. Except, the car was small. I mean small. And so I was told to go back down into the trail and finish it. UGGGG This got me mad. Then, when I finally got back, we had to hurry and leave because my Dad and Declan had hockey. Oh, the joy of running down a mountain..in the rain.. while knowing your going to be late..Other then those 2 events, nothing really happened! :)
Second Guesses...
Let's be honest. The only colleges you hear about are
- Ivy League
- State colleges (the BIG ones)
I will not waste my money.
Homeroom is like a freebie class. In this class we read. And every year I end up in a class with people who hate reading! Weird, huh? I, however, love reading! Reading is just fun. I read everyday, and in fact finished one of my library books today! (I am on hold for the next book in the series: Monster High) But, when you have a free class, why do you have vocab? Or tests? Hello, freebie?! This is the class where we should be studying for academic quizzes, or, reading! Not studying for homeroom tests!! In fact, my moto for a test is:I don't study, I pass.
:) So, there ya have it.
Drama...was drama. I am so sick and tired of Bailey, our "leader" saying, 'I hate being mean, I am really not.' What do you call telling us to be quiet every 30 seconds when your the one talking? Huh?! Sigh. Maybe it is just me. I don't talk, though, so thankfully I am not her target. :) We are getting farther along in the song, the talking needs to stop. Mainly, for some reason beyond my comprehension, Julie seems to think she is the leader. No, your not. Somehow the focus is always on her and her only. Emily is the choreographer, and Bailey the "leader". What is Julie? I don't remember her being assigned anything... But, I am not in charge, so I am trying not to let it bug me. (I just hate it when people, especially leaders, show favoritism. I mean, what happened to the rest of the crew?) Sigh.
Health ticks me off. Mia, who says she talks to me yet never does, is always talking and laughing with the girls next to her. And they are...weird. I don't really like them. At all. Like this is one of the conversations:
Girl named Shelby: Hey, hey you!
Me: *nothing*
Me: *nothing*
Shelby: Girl in the pineapple Wiley shirt!
Me: This girls name is Aislinn
Mia: Oh, you just got told! *smiles at Shelby* High 5 Aislinn!
Shelby: OK, you don't need to have an attitude.
Oh, puh-lease. Don't try and fool me with your ''fake stupidity'' act. I have seen better.
Science was boring. As usual. Erghhh.
Math was OK. One kid short circuited our whole hallway, but nothing real exciting happened other then that.
Language arts...Urg. Don't get me started, it was just like science.
Social studies could have been better.
Well, now ya have it! :)
Love
I.HATE.SPORTS.
Some may call me ''country'', but I am far from it! I do not like sports and have never hunted before. Ever. So call me crazy, but I aint country :)
School today was BOR-ING! Notes in science- blech. And to top that off, homework. Due Friday. Luckily I completed it on the bus ride home! (She gave other classes answers, and I know people. I wouldnt call it cheating, more like, comparing answers.)
Math was SAD. I just found out that the BEST math teacher, and my favorite teacher, is leaving. To become the new 8'th grade assistant principle! Smh. Why does that happen? She is so cool, and a lame math teacher will most likely be her replacement. Oh yeah, and we got homework. Due Friday.
Language Arts was UNexpected. We were put in groups, and we all figured we would get at LEAST a 30 min lecture on the past few days of her absence. But not one single word about it. Shocker! Oh, and lets not forget Friday's Homework.
Social Studies was TER-rible. Like, I am SO bored in that class, I wish I didnt have it. I mean, what we are learning is cool, Prehistoric Puzzles, but how we learn it is boring. I hate classrooms that are all hush-hush. And this is that class. Dont worry, we had homework-- study for test.
Pretty much, that was it! Except, in drama I pushed past my comfort zone to be more outgoing' and it was SO much fun! I got so many good-comments about my performence it was great! I really just told myself it was ok to be crazy, I mean in my song I am going crazy, so why not live it? And I liked the attention. :)
Youth Group..
Today, once again, was a lazy day. We seem to have these every weekend. Mainly I sat at home. It was OK. Yet... could have been better.
The one time I got out of the house was to drive Aidan and his friend, Dima, to Youth Group. (Dima is one of Aidan's friends. His mom's blog is here.) Youth Group is a service that our church does for kids grade 6-8. Aidan nor Dima have gone before, so it was a new experience for them! I just went for the ride. (I usually go for the ride, and because I want to get out of the house, I hate being bored.) After dropping them off I actually, to my surprise, saw 3 kids I knew from the school I went to (the school is connected with the church.) when I was younger. I didn't say hi, but I probably should have..
What a letdown. A waste of a blog update. :) But, I am positive I will have more exciting news tomorrow, since I have school. One thing I will talk about will be Columbus Day. (A bank holiday, but not a school one? Pshh.) This whole week, as a matter-of-fact is a big week. But, I will explain in my future blog posts :)
The Race...
I didnt win anything, except a stomach cramp. But you know what? Who cares?! I dont! :)
At 8:00 Me, Mom and Aidan are in line to get our stickers for the race. This time, since it is our first race, Me and Aidan will be running. While standing in line, I told Mom:
At 8:00 Me, Mom and Aidan are in line to get our stickers for the race. This time, since it is our first race, Me and Aidan will be running. While standing in line, I told Mom:
'I think I will get number 111!'
And guess what? I got that exact number! :) I found that cool. So, with my number in my hand, I was given a tee-shirt. I like the tee-shirt a lot, in fact one of the reasons I wanted to race. For a tee-shirt! The shirt is white, and looks like this:
![]() |
| the shirt! |
I did my first mile in 9 minutes! (Is that good?) The first to second mile, though, was rough. I walked that one mainly. There was so many hills, also! But, I overcame each one! And thankfully, I was not last!! :) I did, however, feel sick many times. I felt like I would throw up, quite frequently. My ears hurt, my legs felt weird, and my head hurt. But, I kept moving. When I am so close to the finish line, I had to run down a hill, my Mom starts screaming:
'Come on, Aislinn!!! COME ON I RUN!'
me: *throws hands up and walks*
'COME ON, AISLINN!'
So, I booked it. I passed the woman in front of me and ran. Fast. Faster. Then really fast. (The downward slope helped.) Toward my last few yards the announcere is yelling,
'HOMESTRECH C'MON!' With her microphone. When I crossed the line, my time was annouunced, but Mom and I dont remember my time. So we guessed 38 min. My time gets faster every time. :) Aidan, who finished before me, came in 3'rd for his age group. Unfortunatly, they only gave out awards to the top 2. Boo.
Well, I will post photos soon. Thank you!
The First of Many..
I wont lie. I am lazy. But, tomorrow I will be un-lazy and do a 5k. For those of you that don't know what that is, it is 3.1 miles!!! I have NEVER raced before ( and trust me, if you read my struggles on Wednesday after school, you know why.) but I heard it is a lot of fun so I will try it!
Not much is happening today, but I will tell as much as I can. In homeroom, my friend Astraea walks by and says:
whole, well, half of the class.
In drama, I must confess. Drama is fun, but difficult for me. Some people in that class cant act (as much as I hate to say it..) and for me, well, it is hard to be outgoing. In my group I.E. (Individual event) I have trouble letting go and being different. But, I feel like if I am outgoing I become annoying. Or if I am loud, I become obnoxious. Usually I am quiet, and Ithink, know, the reason I cant let go it because I am afraid. Of one thing. I will be judged. Sometimes I tell myself to let go, no regrets. Other days I think, 'What if they think I stink?' And yes, people talk about your performance in front of you. Like for instance;
Julie, a girl in my drama class, was telling people stuff about a duet musical today and got caught. Resulting in the teacher pulling her out of class to talk to her. Hmph. And she probably talks about half the people in class anyway!
Health is SO boring, Mia never talks to me. She talks to her two ''Best friends'' right next to her. Blah. Personally, the 2 girls are mean. One got sent to ISS (In school suspension) and one has so many rumors about her I could write a novel. (KIDDING!) I mean, in careers I eventually became friends with one of the girls, but these 2 I don't know if I want to associate with. They seem...mean. Oh well.
At lunch, I sit with 3 girls (Jacalyn, Jacqueline, and Brittany.) Well, this new girl (she has been here for 2 days and has SO MANY rumors about her!) sits next to Brittany, and what does Brittany do? Scoot away, like the girl has cooties!! Then Jacalyn, being Jacalyn, starts talking to her. (Jacalyn is very social.) The new girl, Elizabeth, said:
I don't know about you, but I think that was RUDE. First off, this girl has only been here for 3 days, and your gonna call out your friend like that? She probably wont sit next to us, or even talk to us, anymore! Brittany, she needs to watch what she says. She always says how Jacalyn, Jacqueline, and I are her only friends. Well Brittany, doing stuff like that wont get you friends.
Well, since the blog post was posted on Saturday, I will put another one for today, to talk about my race!
Caught...
Honestly, I have never thought I would be so close to a place where people were drinking. Underaged people, anyway. I know I shouldnt say it, but it is my blog. So here goes...
Sure, everybody makes mistakes! But when your 13, drinking is a pretty big mistake. Yeah, its none of my buisness telling you, but I will. No, this story is not about me, but about another girl at my school. I didnt know her very well, but she seemed...trashy. Not teen-trashy, but smart-mouth a teacher trashy. Allegedly, a girl at my school was drinking. My school consists of 7'th & 8'th grade students. She was in eighth. Rumor has it she got a water bottle from somebody, drank it, had someone throw it away, then get caught. Later, personally escorted out of the school. It just so happened the Drug Dog's came today. What was it? SUPPOSEDLY vodka. And since she made a HUGE mistake, everyone feels the need to go to her page and put things like,
'You will be missed but not forgotten!'
'We love you!'
'Even though you made a mistake, life goes on.'
Life lessons 101. Hang with the right crowd.
So, onto other words (related to school.) my schedule for today was changed. Instead of careers, I know have health. (But keep Drama, since it is an all-year thing.) I figured since one of my good friends, Mia, would be in that class it would be fun. Nope! Instead, she talks to this other girl, one who I guess is her REALLY close friend (whatever.), and doesnt talk to me. Psh, you think you know people. I hate it when some people change, they move on and come to you when they are lonely. But Mia is never lonely, she has people left and right that she can call up. She doesnt even text me! Oh well, at least I know someone, right?
You'd think after my birthday everything would be all spazzy and fun-and-games, right? I guess partially that's the case, but the other half...Not so much. School is ugh. And fit club? Double ugh. Explination please:
Today, my science teacher wasnt here (score!) and instead we had a sub. Remember my 7'th grade MATH teacher? Yeah, her MOM was the sub. (Oh joy.) Today was the Science Benchmark test, and after that we were told to read. I admit, I did get caught up on a few questions, but managed to be one of the first people done. (I think I was like the 3'rd.) Giving her my test, I picked up my new Pretty Little Liars book, and began to read. (I LOVE the series on tv, but never got the chance to read the books.) Anna, now finished with her test, started to ask the teacher a question. I dont know the exact question, but the teacher said 'Yes.'. Next thing I know, my friend Caitlyn is asking if we can take our phones out and read off of there. The teacher says yes. YAY! I am thinking. So, I pull out my phone. But, did I read? I will admit, I did not read, but if you count looking at a text reading, then I read. (Technicly.) Then, Me, Caitlyn, Kaittlyn, and Trevon, were all taking photos. It was a lot of fun!
Fit club today was SO HOT! I had my new LIFEGUARD shorts and tee on, so that was good. :) But, we ran farther today then last week. And guess what? My friend Jacqueline didnt show, so I was alone. The whole time. It was mainly 7'th graders and even though I was kind and out-going, I dont think I made one new friend. Because of this, I am debating whether or not to go next week. :? This Saturday, however, Aidan and I (Possibly Mom, too.) will be doing the Run for Jeremy down at the HS. It is a race that will help fight Lou Gherigs disease. Next Saturday Aidan and I will be doing the North Face Challenge!! Cool!
Well, gotta go!
Love and God Bless
Birthday Today= a Very Happy Me!
Yep, its my birthday! I am 14 today!! Let me give you today's low-down...
So, I go to school. And maybe 3-5 people actually remember my birthday. Yeah, Kati (Best friend at school) she forgot. I had to flat-out put in her agenda 'Aislinn's Birthday Today!!' Then, in science class, I had to race my baloon. Urgg. Well, not exactly.
Me: '(Teacher name) Do I have to race mine? I really do not like to get up in front of people..
Her: 'Can you see if one of your friends can race it?
Me: 'Sure!'
Her: 'Its fine with me!'
So, I ask Brittany to race my car for me,Me: Brittany can you please race my car?
Her: Why?
Me: Because I get really nervous getting up in front of people..
Her: I dont know...
Me: Please! It is my birthday please!
Her: No....
Me: Please! Please!!
Her: Ok.
Me: YAY! Thanks.
Then, Anna, goes;Anna: 'Your racing Aislinn's car?
Brittany: Yeah..
Anna: I want to!
Me: Ok!
(Problem solved..)
We go to the gym and right before Anna is supposed to race mine, she backs out. And told me to let Brittany do it. So, I asked Brittany:Me: Brittany, Anna backed out, will you race my car?
Her: NO!
Me: Why not?
Me: Why not?
Her: (takes car) Anyone want to race Aislinn's car?
Me: Give it back!(Takes car)
Walking over to the teacher, I explain what happened.
Me: So do I really have to race mine?
Her: (smiles) No, we have more then enough cars.
Me: Thank you!
And even though I had an excuse in case if I was questioned why I was in drama, I am still glad I didnt race my car. Besides, it is just one less thing Olivia can bug me about. :)
Did I ever mention my orthodontist app? Well, guess what? I GET THEM OFF NEXT MONTH! AHHHH! I am so happy. My stock pile in the freezer was getting a bit...full. I mean, I have my Peeps, Jelly Beans, Salt Water Taffy, candy, Sugar Easter Gum, and more (after Halloween!) I know this because today I got my molds taken. The metal was cold, but I didnt gag, thank goodness. I just focused on a tree outside. :)
When my Dad came home, I opened my presents and we all had cake! I got cool things:
- Pretty Little Liars books 1-3
- Katy Perry: Teenage Dream CD
- LIFEGUARD Shorts & Shirt (SUPER cute and all the rage up north!)
- Money
- Wicked Trip (From Mom & Dad) :)
- SEVENTEEN Magazine Subscription
So far, that was it! I didnt hear from some people today, but that is alright, I am sure I will hear from them soon...
Thats all for now, folks!!!
Love & God Bless,
14 year old,
1 More Day!
So, last night I was on Blogger and I had my WHOLE post done and then BOOM! My computor took me back to my home-page (Facebook) and did NOT save my blog post. I was annoyed but I moved on. :) Then, thinking there must be SOME reason why I was re-directed to Facebook multiple times, I went to facebook. And guess what I saw? Miss Madison herself posting photos of the Wicked trip! (Julie did too and I am sure they are not the only two that posted albums on facebook) And one of her photos that caught my eye was the ''group'' photo that everybody took. Hello?!? Where was I in this photo? Or Kati, or Mia, or Cheyenne? Or MOST 7'th graders! Instead those that werent ''cool enough to be in Madison's photo'' were replaced by those kids' SIBLINGS! Sometimes I wonder if these things are worth all the drama it causes me.
Today I brought my new car in for science. (I am not sure if I previously mentioned, but I had a project due Friday and since mine was a fail, the teacher sent me home to re-do it. By fail, I mean it wouldnt move.) So I brought it in, and the car did move. Except it curved. I told my teacher and she told me to make some new wheels. With my newly-made wheels, I ran my car. IT WORKED! Going into the class, I told my teacher.
"Yay!" She exclaimed. Then she proceded to tell me how she would take it up. And how I would race my car representing (partially) my team. The whole time she tells me this I am going:
'Uh-huh..Yes... Uh huh..' Not knowing I would have to RACE my car in front of the school! She was supposed to take the cars with the farthest distance, and she didnt even know how far mine went!!! I really dont want to race mine, so I will tell her that I dont feel comfortable getting up in front of everyone. (Which I dont.) Also I will pray, which always helps.
In language arts I took a Benchmark test. (I just found out what this kind of test is, and it is like a skills test. It tells us how much we know and shows the state that ''Yes, our teachers DO teach us!" Maybe they should read my blog..) We couldnt study for it, since we had no idea what it would cover. And personally, it was pretty easy. Mainly about simple, compound, complex, ect.
To top my day off, I got a card from Poland today. I have a pen-pal there and she was nice enough to send me a Happy Birthday card! :) I think that is so sweet and kind.
So, yesterday I was telling my dad how Declan & Maeve seem to be catching a cold. I told him I dont think I am, but I just have a stuffy nose. He nodded. Today, I had the WORST stuffy/runny nose. AND to top it off, some of my teachers had NO tisses, just paper towles. And not the white, soft ones. The brown, cardboard bathroom ones. So, tomorrow I am bringing some tissues, and I hope I dont have a cold, because that would ruin my birthday.
Another thing that happened was today my grandmother- I call her Nanie - sent everybody a box of stuff. For me, I got 2 things. One, a cupcake memo- pad (Personally, I really like this, it is so CUTE!) And a similar cupcake journal. (Again, really like this) I think that was kind of her.
Well, I hope you ALL have a wonderful October the 3'rd, and a GREAT October 4'th!!!
Love and God Bless
