Blogger

Yes, the name has been changed. I got an email from a follower saying, "Where'd your blog go? I looked and cant find it?"
That is because when I changed the name, it still was saved on your computors as 'The 7'th Year' Now, I changed it back and will give notice ahead of time to those who wish to read 'The 8'th Year'.
 Thank you!

Ahh! 80'th post!

As the time draws closer, I must remember to update, since sooner or later I will reach...
100 Posts!

Ah how exciting! Today, I tried 2 to upload a video of my sister, but 'there was an error' kept appearing. Argh. Oh well, here is the last bit of what is about the vid:

All in all, I told her if she did this video, she'd end up like Justin Beiber. (Who's first vid was online) She so loved this and was instantly on board. It wasnt until the 5'th try that she got bored and collapsed on my bed. Super stars. Now, I'm calling her Justine Beibette. (LOL)

please comment and get those numbers going up so we can beat last months views! :)

Congratulations! If you read often, which you should, then you notice a change! The title! This blog from day 1 has been about my life as a 7'th grader, but now that school is over where do I stand? (WHOO!) Now some of you are on vacation, and others are at home. Ahem. I am still undergo-ing changes to this blog (updates, ect.) but dont hesitate to comment or follow! I say it often, but it really makes me smile and happy. 'Cause who doesnt like followers? Soon I will add all sorts of trinket-like stuff to here! :) Get ready 8'th grade, Aislinn's coming.

3 Days!

Oh. My. Goodness. 3 days left!!!

For the last 2 days, I have been dealing with anxiety, and happiness; so basically mixed emotes. To be honest with you, I have felt like this week (so far) is a slow week! :S I feel like it is gonna be sad leaving my 'family' from school. But happy because I can spend time with my real, true family. There is another reason I'm sad, too. I'm sure you can guess...
1...2...3...alright I give. The blog. It's posts... Are...Over. This blog was for 7'th grade. And now...well, it's eighth. And, my point is this:

What now?

Over the year, I have collected followers and (lets hope not) haters. (Yeah, I hope not :) But, those haters have shut there mouth, so I'm going to take that as a 'No, Aislinn. We dont hate you!' Kinda thing. And, once again, what now? *Requests and/or comments are welcome! Dont hesitate. And if you dont have anything nice to say then,

Shut up.

Thank you :) Lol. Okay, lets move on...

Usually the last week of school is fun, and full of 'here, sign my yearbook!' or 'whats your number?' You know what I mean. But, no. My school is not like that. In fact, the opposite. Exactly the opposite. How? Well, lets see. We had our awards last week, no biggie. You know how kids like to miss the last day of school? Well, this year, our final exam is (guess when?) the last day of school. I was planning on missing it! (More like hoping, since no one else knew.) But, my pep-squad coach and language arts teacher solved that problem. This is how it went...
Class: 'Why is the final exam on the last day of school?'
Her: 'Do you want to know the real truth?'
Class: 'Yes!' (Little did we know..Oh how little..)
Her: 'Our school runs on money. And in Georgia, well for our school anyway, we are payed for however many kids are in their seats. I'm telling you, this school runs on money! It might not be the fun way, but I get payed. I voted for you not to have a final exam in my class, but I was out-voted. See, my idea was this; have tests last week and all last week's fun stuff this week, you know? Make it a fun week! But once again, outvoted.'

Now, you may think, 'Oh my goodness! Your school must be poor!' Honestly, no I dont know about their finance. I dont care. If you look around, you probably are going to/went to a school like mine! Am I proud? Heck to the no. Quality education cannot be filled by money. Money does not matter to the educated. Money matters to the cheap people in charge! I am not ragging on anyone, just stating MY OWN OPINION. Jeez. Anyway...

This week, it isnt all tests and sleep. Our schedule is a little flexible, actually. Look below.

Last year 90% of 7'th graders at my school passed math. This year, 97% passed math, yes 97%!!! Is that good or what? So, my prinicple set up goals before the CRCT, like PJ day, Cell Phone day, ect. So, what did we meet? Here it is!
Monday : Nothing
Tuesday: Pizza and drink in 5'th period. Which makes NO sense, since lunch is 4'th period.
Wednesday: Movie Day *note- this is all day, except during testing.
Thursday: Social Day & Recess *note- recess I do not get, since where would it be held, excusing tests
Friday: Cell Phone & Electronic day *note- this is excusing testing

Well, there you have it! My day is complete! Chaio!

A Close Call...

This year was all about 7'th grade. Yes, that is what this blog is centered around. Well, let me introduce the first ever, Count-down to Summer! Each day I will update and share how excited I am. Day by day!
So, lets started!!!

As I have mentioned prior, I have sunday school. Joy. Well its that time of the year, and one more day left and I am DONE! :D I am excited, because now I do not have to go on Sundays for the whole summer! Great, right? Wrong. Because just when I told my mom Sunday School is over in a week, what do we get in the mail? A *ahem...(dramatic pause)*
Pamplet asking (more like telling no, forcing me) to sign up.
Okay, I love God and all, but what do you do in Sunday School for this grade? The next sacrament is marrige! (Well, it depends on who your talking about). I looked it over yesterday and, can you keep a secret? I dont think I was signed up! But, who knows? Now, pinkie sware (its ligit!) so you cant tell! Jk.

Well, have a good day and God bless!

A Week In History...

First, let me congragulate you that you have lived in a week of history.

To start, a savage tornado swept through the Southern States, and in one of those states, is my home. The states were in Alabama, Georgia, and more. (I know I am missing some, so please feel free to comment with the ones I've missed) Since I mentioned it, over 300, yes, hundred people were killed. And many more injured. Since I'm talking about it, if you didnt know, President Obama came and visited people and their homes (what was left anyway) in Alabama. WOW!

Then there was the Royal Wedding of Kate and William. Where I live, it came on at 4 AM and I got up in time to watch it. Now I know your thinking, 'But, Aislinn, It was a school day. Why didnt you go to school?' Actually, I did. And boy, was I tired. But it was fun watching the Brit's do what they do. And actually, it went on till 10 AM, but I only watched until 6:40. The rest I got my parents to record. If you didnt watch it, then check out YouTube and go to the Royal Family's YouTube account. :)

Also, another HUGE thing in American history is...Osama Bin Laden. For those of you who have fought in the war, you know who and what I am talking about. For those of you who sat back and waited, arent you proud? And for those of you in different countries, I will explain....
It was a perfect day, it seemed. On September 9 of 2001. Then planes over-taken by terrorists crashed into the Twin Towers, killing over 3,000 people. Men, women, and children. If you have ever heard of 911, this is where it came from. Quickly America realized it was planned by a group called Al Kida (Spelling, I know.) This group was run by a man named Osama Bin Laden. Now, US forces have tracked him for over the years, and he is now d.e.a.d. Some of you support this, and some dont. But for America, we are proud. We are glad. We cannot wait to see our soldiers come home. On the news it showed one crowd in NYC chanting God Bless America! Holding signs and chanting.

Now you know, you have lived history one page in the book.

God Bless,

Aislinn
