A Week In History...

First, let me congragulate you that you have lived in a week of history.

To start, a savage tornado swept through the Southern States, and in one of those states, is my home. The states were in Alabama, Georgia, and more. (I know I am missing some, so please feel free to comment with the ones I've missed) Since I mentioned it, over 300, yes, hundred people were killed. And many more injured. Since I'm talking about it, if you didnt know, President Obama came and visited people and their homes (what was left anyway) in Alabama. WOW!

Then there was the Royal Wedding of Kate and William. Where I live, it came on at 4 AM and I got up in time to watch it. Now I know your thinking, 'But, Aislinn, It was a school day. Why didnt you go to school?' Actually, I did. And boy, was I tired. But it was fun watching the Brit's do what they do. And actually, it went on till 10 AM, but I only watched until 6:40. The rest I got my parents to record. If you didnt watch it, then check out YouTube and go to the Royal Family's YouTube account. :)

Also, another HUGE thing in American history is...Osama Bin Laden. For those of you who have fought in the war, you know who and what I am talking about. For those of you who sat back and waited, arent you proud? And for those of you in different countries, I will explain....
It was a perfect day, it seemed. On September 9 of 2001. Then planes over-taken by terrorists crashed into the Twin Towers, killing over 3,000 people. Men, women, and children. If you have ever heard of 911, this is where it came from. Quickly America realized it was planned by a group called Al Kida (Spelling, I know.) This group was run by a man named Osama Bin Laden. Now, US forces have tracked him for over the years, and he is now d.e.a.d. Some of you support this, and some dont. But for America, we are proud. We are glad. We cannot wait to see our soldiers come home. On the news it showed one crowd in NYC chanting God Bless America! Holding signs and chanting.

Now you know, you have lived history one page in the book.

God Bless,

Aislinn
