Sigh. I have so much to do this week, and it all starts tomorrow.
Yeah, the CRCT is a big deal, sure! However, in eighth grade it becomes super important, like if you don't pass this test you won't go to high-school important. So, you can see where I come from when I say that the teachers at my school put a lot of pressure on you. Talk about crazy.
Days before the test, however, my teachers try to craaaaaaaam everything into our heads that we should know. Or at least what's on the test, since usually days before the test the teachers teach us things we have not learned. Did I hear someone say procrastination?
Today, being one of those cram-everything-into-our-brains-at-the-last-moment days, I definatly had the odds not in my favor. I mean, not only did I have work in every class (which I usually do, but not as much as today) but I also had homework! This does sound ridiculous but only because my school has a school-wide rule which is: It is against school rules to give a child any form of homework during the week of CRCT testing. And you know what's crazy? The fact that my math teacher feels that the rules dont apply to her! But guess what? THEY. DO.
Mulan practice has been breezing by! The next two weeks are called "Tech Weeks" which basically means we (the cast) have two weeks to perfect every little twist and tuck until the play is perfect! In Tech Week spirit, my drama teacher has instructed us that practice is every day of the school week, and she isn't taking the "CRCT" as an excuse.
I hope your lives are not as hectic as mine is, but just as fun!
God Bless
Love
Aislinn
