We drove until 2:30 EST, which was 1:30, in Alabama, where we stayed. The cats have been OKAY, but are quite cranky, considering the fact that they are in a crate the entire ride. Yesterday, they were alright, but that is probably because of the fact that they were drugged and asleep a good portion of the trip. (Except Gypsy, who was hilarious.) Gypsy did this little scared cat thing, where she would jerk her headn around fast and what made it adorable was the fact her eyes were super dialated, and the fact she cornered herself in a corner. Now Shadow, being the younger of the two, was asleep for a bit, until he heard me tell my dad he was sleeping, then he would jerk awake and look around. He was drugged, but didn't have an anxiety collar on, unlike Gypsy, who did.
Right now, I am sitting in a motel 6 and using their wifi, which I am quite hesitant about. Today, we drove through Arkansas and Oklahoman, and right now I am in Kansas. So far the day has not been well. Weve gotton lost twice, because of the street signs. Unlike Georgia, where there is a warning a little bit before the exit, here there are signs literally right as you go to exit. Which is not helpful when the road your directions tell you to tak is under construction, and traffic is rushing all around you.
Since were talking about rushing traffic, what is it with people being rude on the road?! Countless times today we've had people cut us off and not even tell us thank you. Other times, when the roads get merged and we let people in front of us willingly, there isn't so much as a thank-you then, either. I mean, what is it? Is this some new forgeign thing now or something? Even when we got in front of people, my dad would wave back a thank you! And I bet you, those people behind us, looked at that hand wave and thought, "What is that guy doing?" Since nobody around here says thank you! Uggh.
At one point, the road we were supposed to take, was closed, so we had to face oncoming traffic, and because of the signs, we missed a turn, causing us to go the wrong was for two hours. And for some reason, farming is in because that is all we saw- farmland! An open field here, a plot of soil there, nothing but farmland! For two hours. And what happens when your in the middle of a desrted highway surrounded in grassfields? You get no bars. And what happens when said phone has no bars? You get NO SERVICE. So for two hours, I had zero service. Gee, thanks Verizon. But, it was OK, because I had the One Direction cd. So I listened to that for a while.
Other than that, the ride was good.
Alright, gonna go, my dad and I are going to Applebee's!
God Bless,
Love,
Aislinn
