Day One of Highschool!

"These are going to be the best four years of your life. These four years can either make or break you. Get you into the college you want, or keep you from getting into the college you want."

No pressure or anything.

So, if you couldn't tell, I started my first day of highschool!
It was hectic.
I told my mom that everyone would know everyone.
She said they wouldn't, that there would be a lot of new kids.
Everyone knew each other.
I walked in and everyone was saying, "Hi!" or "I missed you!" meanwhile I stood awkwardly in the midst of it all and was like, 'Excuse the awkward girl...'
I did talk to one girl though, she was a freshman as well.
(Only freshman and new students came to school today.)
Her name is Lizzette.
So I sat with her during the pep-ralley type thing in the gym today.
After that we went to go to our assigned groups. I was group 4, whereas my new friend is group 1.
So I said goodbye, but thankfully we have one class together, School Success.
In my new group, which consisted of 10 students and 2 "Link Leaders" (Junior and Senior)
I talked to one girl, who was new as well, and her name is Alyssa.
She's from Pennsylvania.
(That's all I'm telling you about her because frankly that's just awkward if I tell you everything about her..)
BUT I know that she likes One Direction as well.
Which is great, because none of my friends really cared at my old school.
But it's nice that someone else can relate.
Unfortunately I don't have class with her, but I do have lunch everyday with her!
After lunch, my group went on a school tour.
Most of my classes are upstairs, but one class is main-level, art.
There is 6 freshman in art.
3 girls. 3 boys.
What stinks is that the 2 girls already knew each other. And they're like best friends. Figures.
All three boys know each other.
The teacher seems really nice, though!
I hope that it's not clique-y, but I can already tell you what classes will be.
Most of them.
All in all, my schedule is fine.
Can't complain.
I can about drama.
Remember how tight drama was in middle school, and how once my friends left I was that awkward bystander? It's just like that here. Execpt worse.
All the kids in drama class know each other.
How?
They all had class together in middle school. They're all friends.
Not again.
I don't want to be another student just floating around class.
I want to make some friends, but it is very clique-y.
In case you're wondering, this is my schedule:
  • Ancient Civilations
  • Biology
  • Algebra 1
  • Drawing & Painting
  • School Success
  • Theater
  • English 1
This year, I was told that each class is either an 'A' day, or 'B' day. So, for some days I will only take 3 classes, and the other days I will take 4. Thankfully, my lunch time stays the same on both A & B days. 11:05.

That's all!
179 more days, yeah?
Sigh.
Counting down!
God bless,
Aislinn
xx

Oh! And I share a locker. Yeah, I know. Share? A locker? With another freshman, only freshman share. And thankfully girls get paired with girls and guys with guys. My partners name is Audrey. She's new as well!
One more thing, this is great. On Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday I go to school a regular time; 7:55. But on Wednesday (every Wednesday) I get to sleep in and go to school at 8:55! Awesome, right? That's the time where I can go early if I like, and finsih any work or hang around I guess..
