I never know how to start these things...
A week ago today I started high school. The days flew by, and for that I'm thankful. Do you know how deprived of the internet I've been during those 8 school hours? I admit, I contemplated even writing this post, just because I didn't know how long it would take me!
My classes are alright. Drama is definitely better. Same goes for drawing and painting.
Something I've found difficult if school shopping. I just recently got all my school supplies lists', because my teachers give them out on different days. PLUS the fact that Wal-Mart didn't have a lot of the notebooks I needed. That was a first.
All in all, high school isn't what they tell you. They don't prepare you for any of it. It's like one big puzzle, and you have to fill in the missing peices with your experience.
My favorite classes are English 1 and Ancient Civilizations. By far. The teachers are great and the classes are very fun.
My mom seems to think it's great I will be reading To Kill A Mockingbird this year. I physically cannot read that book. I've tried. I don't find it to be all that good, to be honest. I read half. And I'm not joking when I say I cannot, cannot, physically read that book. I honestly don't know why it's that big of a deal, either.
Alright, don't hate me because this must have been the worst post. Ever.
I apologize.
But, I can tell you that I've made some friends? And by some I mean 2. And one of them I don't have class with, Alyssa. As it turns out, we don't have lunch together, either. I found that out as I walked into class 40 minutes late because I went to the wrong lunch. I won't even lie, I had a good lunch. But the teacher yelled at me for a bit, then moved onto the next half of the class who was also late. The next day he apologized for not explaining that clearly enough.
Other than that, school is school. I honestly don't look forward to going, even though I've been told these are going to be some of the best years of my life. I don't think so. Not when you've moved halfway across country to a brand new school and know absolutely nobody, whereas everyone else is in their own cliques. Yeah. Fun.
Bless
Aislinn
